NACA Technical Memorandum No. 1106, October 1947: a translation of "Über einen Lorinantrieb für Strahljäger" by Eugen Sänger and Irene Bredt. Written in the depths of World War II (1943) Germany, this report describes, via text, diagrams, charts and photos, the potential of ramjet engines to serve as the powerplants of near-supersonic manned fighters.

Eugen Sänger is best known as the designer of the "Silverbird" antipodal bomber, the first design for a modern rocket powered spaceplane.
